Employee Leave Requests

  • Bereavement Leave (two types available, click hyperlink for information)

  • Jury Duty - Enter absence in Absence Management, select reason as Jury Duty, provide Human Resources with a copy of your Jury Summons (email, courier, or fax 503-614-3186).  You have the option of declining payment from the court, or any monies paid to you (excluding mileage which is yours to keep) from the court may be signed over to payroll or via personal check made out to "NWRESD" with "Jury Duty" written in the notes.

  • Personal Leave/Emergency Leave - Enter absence in Absence Management, select reason as Personal Leave, follow up immediately with an email to your supervisor to request authorization for Personal Leave.  Your supervisor will then reply to your email with an "approval".  You will be contacted by Human Resources if your request was "denied".         

          Please review your employee group's collective bargaining agreement or MOA for your group's guidelines for                          appropriate use of this leave:

                                             Classified/OSEA Collective 
Bargaining Agreement (see Article 13.3 - Paid Leaves of Absence)
                                             Confidential Staff (see Article 3E)
                                             Administrative Staff (see Article 3E)
